What’s New in this Release?

  • A short 'getting started' video tutorial is displayed when opening the broadcaster. The tutorial can also be accessed from the Help menu.
  • An error message is displayed if it’s not possible to broadcast.
  • It is now possible to request technical support, including automatic attachment of channel and machine information. The support option can be accessed from the Options menu and the information tab.
  • Link for viewing the channel is available in the Live Return area and in the help menu.
  • Link to the Broadcaster Center at RayV.com is available in the help menu.
  • Link to advanced channel settings is available in Channel Management tab
  • User password can be changed from the broadcaster.

Bugs Fixed since Last Release

  • Remote stream stability improved.
  • Broadcaster can now handle files with non-English characters in their names.
  • Other bug fixes.

Open Issues / Known Bugs

  • Sort by name, in playlist editor, places capital letters before lower case letters.
  • Broadcaster does not recover properly when the computer is brought out of “Standby” or “Sleep” mode.
  • Some camera and file sources might not play smoothly in Window 2003 and Windows Vista.
  • USB camera that is being disconnected while playing will not resume when reconnected.
  • There is a memory leak when the broadcaster switches between items in a playlist.
  • Clicking edit without selecting a source will edit the current source even if the source is currently playing. Trying to preview the source in the edit window will cause the broadcaster to freeze.
  • Playlist size is limited to 100 items.
  • Remote streams will always use “Installed Video Codecs” even when “RayV File Decoders” is selected.
